   "Vincent Valentine, come downstairs for a moment. There is someone you need to meet."
   Vincent, a boy with ebony black hair and crimson red eyes, descended down the stairs of the Valentine manor, to the entrance where his father, the scientist, Grimoire Valentine, stood. As he came closer, he noticed someone beside him. A boy, about the age of Vincent, but a few inches taller, stood at Grimoire's side, and a couple of suitcases at the boy's side. The new boy had the same shade of black hair as Vincent and Grimoire's, similar style to Vincent, and his eyes were red, but more a blood colBrother... - Prologue by ~kat100
Dirge of Zebras, the first bit"Hm…" Vincent said from somewhere behind a lage newspaper.
"What is it, son??" said his father heartily from across the table.
"Look dad, it's an ad for the Turks! I wanna join the Turks! They sound awesome!"
"ahh… no son, don't you know stuff like that is dangerous??" Grimoire said only a little too quickly.
Vincent's russet and very nearly red eyes narrowed and he lowered the paper. "Why. You always seem to want to ENGOUREGE me for any other kind of job. When I said I wanted to be a commando you said "SURE SON!! GO WHEREVER YOUR HEART LEADS YOU!!" and now you're all like…" Vincent did a vague kind of gesture "Y'know."

The last birth dayGrimoire was sitting at his desk trying to write a letter to his son, Vincent Valentine. Grimoire hadn't really seen his beloved son in months and it was becoming hard for him. He loved talking to his son and spending time with him, but he knew that his time on this planet was coming to an end. "Vincent…." Grimoire said crinkling up another piece of paper. It was a foggy Saturday night, there wasn't a single star in the sky, the clouds were big and gray, and it seemed it was about to storm. Down below in the ruins of the city of Midgar, in a diner called Seventh Heaven, there was a group of people talking. The group is known as Avalanche, the members are Cloud Strife, Tifa, Yuffie, Cid Highwind, and Vincent Valentine.
